The Heart & Soul of DJing
One difference between good and great is equipment. As a rule, I try to update at least one major component of the sound system each year. Right now I'm using this state of the art DENON 2600f Dual Transport CD player. Certainly one of the best Professional line CD players on the market. The control panel on this player has all the right features that a DJ needs to "keep the beat", or add special effects. This coupled with the latest in computerized DJ technology will insure that your favorite dance and club selections can be properly mixed so the beat never ends.
Some of the most recent equipment "upgrades" include a QSC PLX 1600 amplifier,
as well as a new American Audio Q-Spand Mixer.
DJ Rick also has these MTX 15" 2 way full range speakers as his primary back-ups. These speakers offer more than enough power and punch. However, they have now been replaced by a newer set of JBJ Sound Force speakers.
As much as the MTX speakers sounded (and still sound) GREAT, these JBL's take the total listening experience to a whole new level.
